Hp windows 7 professional laptop free. Robot or human?
Due to an total hard drive crash I have to change HDD and reload everything from the beginnin. I tried to download win 7 at the windows website but when I enter the product key I get a answer that I should contact the computer supplier in this case HP, "this is not OEM key". Does anyone know how to download windows 7 at the HP web-site?
Go to Solution. View solution in original post. HP very likely doesn't carry Win 7 Recovery Discs any longer. Use the iso downloader here then create a bootable usb flash drive or burn it to dvd:. I am in the same boat. Replaced the hard drive not knowing I would need the OS again. The first link from MS will not let me download the iso as it states that the product key is for preinstalled software and to contact the manufacturer.
